Race Meet - Non Championship Round Greetings Dalby Kart Club!
Our first Race Meet in 2018 will be non-championship. No points will be awarded but we will do a full round of racing, to test our new classes, weight rules and race format.
The race format will be all new, with qualifying being part of practice so come early to put down your fastest lap! The first race grid will be determined by qualifying times, fastest to slowest. Then we will race 4 full rounds, in normal direction. Each grid (after the 1st race) will be determined by accumulating points. There will be no reverse grid and no reverse direction racing.
Please also be aware of the new weight rules, and come early to weigh karts on our scales. Plenty of time Friday as well, to come practice and sort out lead, if required for your kart.
Canteen will be open for the usual great food and service! Our race fees have been adjusted up by $10, but no other fee changes. We are expecting (hoping!) to have our new EFTPOS machine ready for Sat (TBC!) as well as a replacement shade cloth for paddock area (TBC!)
We need a volunteer or two for the START/FINISH line. Volunteers will receive free drink and burger from the canteen.
We expect some teething problems, as we have made a few changes but no stress for anyone, since this round will be NON-CHAMPIONSHIP.
Please join us for the first race meet in 2018 and look forward to seeing you all there. ... See more
