Greetings, we will hold a committee meeting tomorrow night (Monday 25th June) 6.30pm @ Canteen.

No agenda has been set, other than the major upgrade works, finances review, and recap current open items from last meeting.

Please come along to meeting if you have new items to discuss.

Apologies for the short notice.....track upgrade works has been priority for the last three weeks.

Greetings! Track is now OPEN for practice. Sweeper upgrade complete. All tyres are back in place. Mind the dusty surface and enjoy....

Gate key is back in the box and all PIN numbers are active for member access.

DKC Sweeper Upgrade Mesh and Box Complete
Greetings, boxing and mesh setup was completed yesterday. Over the last few days, club members have put in the hard yards to get the job ready for concrete, alongside Matt Hughes and his team (Nindathana Constructions).

ASSISTANCE REQUIRED. Concrete pour STARTS 6.30AM THURSDAY (tomorrow). Please assist if you can, just turn up! Further assistance required FRIDAY and SATURDAY for cleanup and back filling, etc.

Sweeper Upgrade - Earthworks Complete
Earthworks Complete

It was wet...
It was boggy...
It was sticky.....
It was the old dunny trenches!!!

But now the ground is hard, firm, smooth and ready for concrete!!

UPDATE: CHANGE OF RACE MEET DATE**

Due to delay in recent major track upgrade works (caused by wet, boggy, soft, sinking, unstable, terrible ground under the old track!!) the committee has decided to move the Double Direction Race Meet by 1 week, to 30th June and 1st July. This will ensure the track will be ready and safe to race, with a brand new 70m concrete section around the sweeper.

Sweeper Upgrade Hard Ground!
After 4 days of drying we finally have hard ground! We can drive heavy machines on the sub grade without sinking. However, we are at least one full week behind original plan.

Sweeper Upgrade FKG delivery
Today we received all the road base and road profilings needed to complete the Sweeper project AND fix all the roads around the club.

Huge thanks to FKG for the donation and special thanks to John Karlish to make this happen today.

The ground is drying out and works will continue Monday to allow ground to be as dry and firm as possible.

Track remains CLOSED. No access this weekend.
